Tom has provided investment banking services, including M&A advisory services and public and private capital formation, with a focus on middle-market business and technology services companies since 1995. Prior to joining the firm in 2002, Tom was a director in First Union (now Wachovia) Securities' Business Services Investment Banking Group, where he developed and led First Union's HR and Workforce Solutions investment banking practice. Through Tom’s efforts, First Union became one of the leading providers of investment banking services to HR outsourcing, staffing and other human capital management companies. From 1995-98, Tom was a vice president in the Corporate Finance group of Dain Rauscher Corp., where he led the execution of multiple M&A and capital formation transactions in the staffing, healthcare and building products industries. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia, McIntire School of Commerce (BS in Commerce) and the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University (Masters of Management, concentration in Finance).
