Prior to joining Ewing Bemiss & Co. in 2006, James was a vice president at Edgeview Partners, a middle market investment banking firm. Prior to that experience, James was a vice president at Townsend Frew & Co., a healthcare specialist investment banking firm. James began his career at Legg Mason, Inc.
James has focused on serving middle market healthcare companies since 1997. He has advised on numerous domestic and cross border sale assignments, private placements, and various strategic advisory engagements. His healthcare industry experience includes pharmaceutical services, healthcare services, medical products and distribution, and healthcare information technology.
James is a graduate of the University of Virginia (BA in economics and mathematics) and the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (MBA).
