m.bacon@ewingbemiss.comMary joined Ewing Bemiss & Co. in 1994 as a Vice President and became a Managing Director in 1998. Mary is co-head of the alternative energy practice. Mary has focused exclusively on alternative and renewable energy since 1999. Mary has extensive experience in various sectors of the renewable energy power generation industry, focusing on sale assignments as well as raising equity and debt financing. She has been particularly active in the landfill gas to energy, geothermal and wood biomass to energy sectors. Mary’s expertise extends to energy services as well as environmental sectors.
Prior to joining the firm, Mary was vice president of finance at Retail Data Services, Inc., in which capacity she headed nationwide expansion initiatives. Previously, she was assistant vice president, corporate finance, at Wheat, First Securities, Inc., where she specialized in private placements and mergers and acquisitions. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia (BA in Art History) and the College of William and Mary (MBA in Finance).
