Ewing Bemiss & Co. Announces a $12.1 Million Investment in Multitrade Telogia, LLC

Richmond, Virginia – Ewing Bemiss & Co. is pleased to announce that Multitrade Biomass Holdings, LLC (“Multitrade” or “the Company”) has secured a $12.1 million investment in its Multitrade Telogia, LLC subsidiary from Leaf Clean Energy Company (AIM: LEAF).  Proceeds from the investment will be used to develop a 14-megawatt wood-waste fired renewable energy power plant in Telogia, Florida, approximately 35 miles west of Tallahassee.  Ewing Bemiss & Co. represented Multitrade in the transaction.

Multitrade Biomass Holdings LLC was formed in December 2006 to develop renewable wood-waste fired power plants in the Southern and Mid-Atlantic States.  The Company has a pipeline of development projects for supplying electricity, thermal energy and renewable fuel to utilities and industrial companies.  Multitrade is headquartered in Henry County, Virginia.

Multitrade has been a client of Ewing Bemiss & Co. since 1998, when Ewing Bemiss & Co. advised on the sale of the Multitrade Group Inc., to KTI Inc.  In July 2008, Ewing Bemiss & Co. assisted in a capital raise for Multitrade Rabun Gap LLC, a 20 megawatt wood-waste fired renewable energy project.
