Ewing Bemiss & Co. Announces the Sale of CHAD Therapeutics, Inc.’s transfilling oxygen business
Richmond, Virginia – Ewing Bemiss & Co. is pleased to announce that it represented CHAD Therapeutics, Inc., a publicly traded company (AMEX: CTU), in the sale of its transfilling oxygen business, including the Total O2 Transfilling System, to Respironics, Inc., which closed on March 6, 2008.
Based in Chatsworth, California, CHAD has long been a leading developer, producer, and marketer of respiratory care devices for both the home and hospital treatment of patients who require supplemental oxygen. The Company was a pioneer in developing oxygen conserving devices that enhance the quality of life for patients by increasing their mobility and, at the same time, lower operating costs by achieving significant savings in the amount of oxygen actually required to properly oxygenate patients. CHAD is now exclusively focused on the development of novel and proprietary diagnostic and therapeutic devices that will address the multi-billion dollar sleep disorder market. CHAD's remaining assets consist of a portfolio of proprietary sleep technologies that the Company has developed during the course of the past several years.
